Nelson is a seasoned technology innovator and entrepreneur who has spent his career building solutions that simplify how the world stores, manages, and protects data. As Co-Founder and CEO of Geyser Data, he is leading the company’s mission to make data archiving more accessible, transparent, and sustainable through Geyser’s unique Tape-as-a-Service model.

Before founding Geyser Data, Nelson co-founded Zadara, where he pioneered one of the industry’s first Storage-as-a-Service platforms and helped grow it into a global cloud infrastructure company with more than 500 edge clouds worldwide. His vision and leadership have consistently focused on delivering real-world value through technical excellence and customer-driven innovation.

 

Earlier in his career, Nelson held senior engineering and leadership roles at LSI and StoreAge Networking, where he led global development teams and helped shape groundbreaking storage technologies that laid the foundation for modern data architectures.
